Vaccinology in Africa Master’s Level Course

The 2017 ‘Vaccinology in Africa’ Master’s Level Course is open to applications from students, researchers and professionals resident in East Africa.

The course covers the main aspects of human and veterinary vaccinology, the vaccine development process, biomanufacturing, clinical trials, regulatory and ethical issues, highlighting human and veterinary links and synergies from scientific, technological and regulatory perspectives.

The course is jointly organised by the host institution, MUII-Plus (Makerere University-UVRI Centre of Excellence for Infection & Immunity Research and Training) in Entebbe, Uganda, and the Jenner Institute, University of Oxford.

Participation is competitive and places are allocated based on individual applications. 20 places are available for local residents of Uganda which will cover course fees, travel within Uganda, accommodation and meals during the course.

A further 20 bursaries are available for those living further afield within the region of East Africa, which will cover course fees, travel within East Africa, accommodation and meals.
