The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) has issued a Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to support innovative research advancing the development of a universal influenza vaccine. Priority areas include understanding influenza transmission, characterizing immune responses, and designing broadly protective vaccines. Projects may explore novel immunogens, delivery methods, and immune mechanisms across diverse populations.
Applications are accepted from February 5, 2025, through November 16, 2027, under NIH Parent R01 or R21 NOFOs. Applicants must reference “NOT-AI-24-081” in submissions.
