I am Zakariya Abdihaashi Mohamed, a dedicated One Health specialist from Somalia, with extensive experience in promoting the integration of human, animal, and environmental health. My professional focus includes zoonotic disease prevention, antimicrobial resistance awareness, and climate change mitigation, particularly within vulnerable communities. Over the past several years, I have led awareness campaigns, organized seminars, and collaborated with organizations such as the Somalia Green Peace Association to educate communities and students on One Health principles and practices. I hold a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from Jaamacadda Ummadda (Somali National University) and have actively contributed to research and advocacy initiatives that address critical health challenges in Somalia. I am passionate about translating scientific knowledge into practical interventions that strengthen community resilience, improve public health, and promote sustainable livestock and environmental management practices. I am eager to engage with professionals, researchers, and organizations interested in collaborative projects, knowledge-sharing, and capacity-building initiatives in the One Health domain.
