Profile
Dr Matthew Siggins is an Assistant Professor in Immunity and Infection Biology at the University of Surrey and an Honorary Fellow at Imperial College London. His research focuses on three main areas: how bacteria exploit the lymphatic system; how complex multivariate host responses to pathogens can be decoded; and how lymphatic homing can be harnessed to improve vaccine responses. This work applies an interdisciplinary approach, combining experimental infection models, innovative imaging, clinical datasets and explainable AI to reveal drivers of disease, identify functional biomarkers, guide vaccine design, and address antimicrobial resistance.
