Wellcome Early-Career Awards
Scope
Supports independent research across health and wellbeing, including One Health, antimicrobial resistance, epidemiology, parasitology and zoonotic disease research. Relevant to STAR IDAZ Helminths, One Health, Epidemiology and AMR priorities.
Apply
The scheme supports early-career researchers leading independent research programmes. Applicants may be based in the UK or in eligible low- and middle-income countries, particularly in Africa, South Asia and South-East Asia. Funding covers the applicant’s salary and research expenses for up to five years.
