NIFA Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) – Foundational and Applied Science Program

The programme, administered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA), supports investigator-led and collaborative research projects across a broad range of agricultural disciplines. Eligible applicants include universities, research institutions, federal agencies, private organisations and other eligible entities. Projects may range from basic discovery research to applied and translational studies addressing critical agricultural challenges.
