Nigeria–EU Science & Innovation Day to Strengthen Research Partnerships

On 24 February 2026, Lagos will host the Nigeria–EU Science & Innovation Day, bringing together researchers, innovators and policymakers to advance collaboration between Nigeria and the European Union.

The event will highlight emerging research initiatives, promote engagement among early-career researchers, and strengthen dialogue on shared priorities in science and innovation. It provides a platform to foster new partnerships and deepen existing ones across sectors.

The initiative forms part of the broader AU–EU Innovation Agenda, which seeks to enhance long-term cooperation between Africa and Europe in research, technology and sustainable development.

Strengthening Africa–EU partnerships in science is key to co-developing solutions that are locally relevant and globally impactful.
