STAR IDAZ IRC Advances Global Brucellosis Vaccine Research

3 November 2025 – San José, Costa Rica. The STAR IDAZ International Research Consortium (IRC) convened a productive Workshop on Brucellosis Vaccine Research Priorities ahead of the Brucellosis International Conference, bringing together leading scientists, policymakers, and international partners.

The workshop focused on identifying and prioritizing key research areas for the development of next-generation brucellosis vaccines. Participants discussed strategies to strengthen awareness, improve vaccine application practices, and enhance collaboration to accelerate progress, particularly in resource-limited settings where the disease burden remains high.

The STAR IDAZ IRC expressed its appreciation to all attendees and the Scientific Organizing Committee for their expertise and engagement. Insights gathered during the workshop will contribute directly to the upcoming update of the STAR IDAZ Brucellosis Vaccine Research Roadmap.
