Objectives & Deliverables

Project Methods
Study Design: four training modules were developed for the following topics: identification of sick animals, clinical mastitis, metritis, and lameness. The three most common health conditions for antimicrobial use on adult cows on the farm, namely mastitis, metritis, and lameness, were chosen as the main topics for curriculum development24. Case-based teaching materials were developed to cover the learning objectives planned for each module25. The materials were available in English and Spanish. To ensure the Spanish language used was adequate for dairy workers, the translation was performed by native Spanish-speaking members of the research team. Initially, four interactive short videos, each with approximately 15 minutes of audio were delivered and evaluated at 12 participants' dairy farms. Each of the four modules will be digitalized with help from an eLearningdesign specialist company services, to create online interactive modules, that allow the worker to a self-paced, internet-based study approach. At the end of the module, participants will receive a certificate of completion once a quiz is taken and satisfactorily passed.
