Objective:
Determine the apparent seroprevalence of H5 avian influenza and endemic swine influenza A virus in feral swine in the United States and associated territories to assess feral swine as a reservoir risk for influenza A virus and identify interfaces between feral and commercial swine.
Challenges
Approach:
Acquire serum samples from the National Feral Swine Damage Management Program and assay them using different serologic tests.
