The InnoVet-AMR partnership is pleased to announce two virtual events to be held during World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW), 18–24 November 2025:

  1. 20 November 8:00-9:30am EST – “Bridging the Gap Between Researchers and Policymakers on AMR Solutions.” This webinar will highlight recent work by InnoVet-AMR to connect research with policy processes and promote the uptake of innovative approaches to reduce antimicrobial use in livestock and aquaculture systems. The session will feature three regional policy initiatives—in Latin America, Africa, and Asia-Pacific—each strengthening engagement between researchers and policymakers to advance alternative technologies and evidence-informed solutions. Please register here.
  2. 24 November 8:00-9:00am EST – “Emerging Systemic Patterns Driving AMR Futures: Global Trends at the Climate–Animal Health Nexus .” This session will bring together experts across sectors to protect health at its source: in our environments, our food systems, and our communities. The webinar will explore the latest trends and emerging threats at the climate-AMR-animal health nexus, five systemic domain patterns reshaping risk and decision making, and why anticipatory action today is key to protecting tomorrow’s food security and health.  Please register here.

The InnoVet-AMR: Innovative Veterinary Solutions for Antimicrobial Resistance initiative, supported by IDRC and the UK Department of Health and Social Care, is investing in innovations to reduce antibiotic reliance in livestock production to advance the One Health agenda while safeguarding animal welfare and public health. As antimicrobials are being restricted or banned in some contexts, farmers and private‐sector actors are seeking evidence-based alternatives.

Please join InnoVet-AMR for one or both of the webinars.
