Maryam Muhammad steps down as Chair of the STAR IDAZ IRC Executive Committee

SIRCAH would like to extend its sincere thanks and congratulations to Maryam Muhammad, Chair of the STAR IDAZ International Research Consortium Executive Committee, as she steps down from the role and retires from her position at the National Veterinary Research Institute, Vom.

Maryam has served as Chair with great commitment and has been a strong advocate for STAR IDAZ IRC, particularly in supporting collaboration across Africa and the wider international animal health research community. During her term, she highlighted the importance of strengthening regional networks, building partnerships, and advancing research collaboration to support improved animal health strategies within the IRC priority disease areas.

We are very grateful for Maryam’s leadership, dedication, and contribution to the Executive Committee and to the wider STAR IDAZ IRC network. On behalf of SIRCAH and the STAR IDAZ IRC community, we warmly congratulate Maryam on her term as Chair and wish her all the very best for her retirement.
